The Royal Society of Chemistry

Formed in 1980 with a new Royal Charter, the RSC traces its origins to the founding of the Chemical Society in 1841 and its first Royal Charter in 1848.

RSC Consultancy Group (CG)
The CG is one of over seventy RSC Interest Groups. It was formed in 1990 to provide a forum for RSC members who provide consultancy services either full-time or part-time. Members may be self-employed, in partnerships or employed by commercial organisations or academia. The objectives of the Group are listed on its web page.

Currently the CG has over 400 members, many of whom have entries in The Directory of Consulting Practices administered by the RSC.  It is available online with public access and can be searched.  Entry in this Directory is also available to RSC members who are not members of the CG. The Consultancy Group has also been involved in the preparation of several editions of the RSC Guide to Consultancy, which is free for RSC members but there is a charge for non-members.
